Every day is greater the number of webmaster that intend to make a good optimization of their sites to get a good positioning in the main search engines. Some Webmasters, concentrate all their work exclusively in search engine optimization to get traffic to their Web sites. In fact, this traffic is totally free and highly targeted.
One of the most important things in the search engine optimization is the proper use of the Meta Tags.
Other people use alternative means to send visits to their Web sites. Personally, I am in favour of other traffic systems such as articles, classified, ezines, etc… but now I will concentrate on a few aspects of search engine optimization.
How optimise your site for the search engines:
I will not dwell on this issue but I must say that the main issue in the search engine optimization is the proper use of the Meta Tags, header and keywords tags.
The Meta Tags are basically three important things, the tittle, the description and the keywords. There are other meta tags, but these are the main, and must always go planted in the head of the code of each page, this code makes that the page be detected by the search engines and can be ranked high.
Try and choose keywords and keywords phrases with which a user would seek the product or service that you offer in your page. For example, if you are offering in your site "Nike sport shoes", it would be better if you don´t use the keyword "shoes" in your optimization, always try using keywords more specific as "Nike sport shoes", if you do that, then you will get greater response and at the same time will be easier positioning your page in specific phrases that in keywords or keywords more generics.
You must no use more than a few keywords and keywords phrases for each of the pages of your Web site. Once picked, into it in the content of the page Repeating it 5-7 times. Don´t put upon of this because your page can become dificult to read by the visitor.
The search engines used their own system to identify your page and linking it with your keywords, and with combinations of these keywords, so that you must be careful with the choice of your keywords and with the matching of these with the content of the page. If You fail in this, the spiders will detect you and they can ban your page.
The search engines then will observe heading tags of the page and will look for in the content of the same agreements with meta tags
So if someone search the keywords phrase "Nike sport shoes" and this phrase is found in the descripcón of the page once, in the title and in the keywords also being repeated once, and also is repeated in the content of the page about 5 times, it is likely that the page should have a high ranking if you have worked with other important requirements in which other webmaster have not worked.
You neede to think and discover which are the phrases that the people use when they search for your product or service, then you must stick to them and create density both in your meta tags as in the content, but without reaching repeating them too much for not being baned by the search engines for spamming.
Always intends that the keywords match with the content. If you are writing an article on "Right use of Meta Tags", then you must choose keywords and keywords phrases related with "Right use of Meta Tags". For example if you are using the heading < h2 > Right use of Meta Tags < /h2 >, then you must stick to repeat this sentence both in the content as in the meta tags of the page to maximize the results in your optimization.
